The history of European classical music includes many great works that incorporates folk and Eastern musical elements.  This project draws inspiration from the compositional styles of different periods, fusing traditional Chinese and contemporary elements to create a crossover programme for an ensemble that blends European classical instruments, traditional Chinese instruments, and modern electronic instruments, promoting Hong Kong's original music brand throughout the community.

The project is also one of the activities in the Chinese Culture Promotion Series.  The LCSD has all along promoted Chinese history and culture through organising an array of programmes and activities to enable the public learn more about broad and profound Chinese culture.  For more information, please visit www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/ccpo/index.html.
