PAD07 | Chromas of a Dream: Fleeting Light and Shadows of Eileen Chang by Hong Kong Dance Companyparent

The programme is offered by Hong Kong Dance Company in support of the "New to the Theatre: School Culture Day Scheme 2026/27".

About the Programme

Choreographed by Xie Yin and produced by Hong Kong Dance Company, "Eileen Chang" ventures into the literary universe of Eileen Chang through dance. A cross-temporal dialogue between two female artists, tracing Eileen Chang’s character by its incisive precision, illuminating the nuances of human nature within the folds of emotion. Her works have inspired numerous film and television adaptations.
Marking the 30th anniversary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, HKDance crafts an original work as a cultural calling card for the city, transforming Eileen Chang’s Hong Kong legends into an evocative dance performance. This piece initiates and continues Hong Kong’s cultural classics, fosters the long-term development of local original productions, and sustains the vibrant future of Hong Kong’s cultural landscape.
