Premiere Performances of Hong Kong - The Chamber Music World of Rachel Cheung (Completed)


Rachel Cheung

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Rachel has dazzled audience worldwide with her 'beauty and virtuos-ity' (Theatre Jones), giving recitals in prestigious venues including Auditorium du Louvre (Paris), Elbphilharmonie (Hamburg), Weill Recital Hall Carnegie Hall (New York) and more.  Rachel is also a prize winner in many of the world's esteemed competitions, including the Leeds, Chopin, Horowitz, Gina Bachauer and Geneva Interna-tional Piano Competitions.  In 2019, Rachel was awarded the Artist of the Year (Music) by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council for her outstanding achievements.

Programme Content

In this concert, Rachel will take the students in a journey to explore her chamber music world together with her companions in music.  They will showcase the beautiful pieces in different instrument combinations with piano, clarinet and violin etc.  It is truly a visual and audio experience for the students to enjoy the high-level performance and techniques of the players as solo, duo, trio as well as piano four hands.
