Programme offered by Premiere Performances of Hong Kong in support of the "2018/19 Arts Experience Scheme for Senior Secondary Students" (For school group booking only)

Premiere Performances will be celebrating for the 10th anniversary of its annual chamber music festival, now called the Beare's Premiere Music Festival (formerly Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival which was first launched in 2009). Since 2012, world renowned violinist, Cho-Liang Lin, has been the Artistic Director of the Festival till now. Over the years, the Festival has introduced to the Hong Kong audiences many unforgettable chamber music pieces which performed by our high. To further promote chamber music to the young audiences, the Artistic Director of the Festival will, again, tailor-made a concert for the students.

Programme Content

Letters from Argentina (Tango Concert) is a part of the 10th Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival. Four-time Grammy Award-winner and six-time Oscar nominee, Lalo Schifrin, is a prominent Hollywood composer, and his renowned work includes the theme of the Mission Impossible. He has been invited to arrange for the Three Tenors' performances at the FIFA World Cup for three times. In this concert, world renowned musicians together with Cho-Liang Lin (Artistic Director) will play the famous Letters from Argentina suite which leading them to a music world of rich Argentine spirit.
