Highlights and Objectives

  • A school-year-long drama creative training programme
  • Suitable for all Primary 4 to 6 students

  • Encourage reading and inspire creativity
  • Programme includes interactive drama activities, drama training, performance rehearsals and in-school finale performance

Contents

This year, we will focus on Aladdin's Mind Blowing Lamp, guiding students to understand the characteristics, habits and values of the main characters from the original novel through "Process Drama".  Students can also experience the fun of theatre while creating a script collectively together for an in-school performance of about 10 to 12 minutes, arousing their potential and creativity.

Phase 1:
Drama Training Workshop
(7 sessions)

November 2024 to April 2025

Theatrical Art Workshop (November to December 2024)
Students will learn about actors' attitude and basic performance skill.  They will also improve their concentration, build team spirit and develop physical coordination through theatre games and activities.

Process Drama and Collective Plot Creation (December 2024 to April 2025)
Students will explore the personalities of the characters and consider the dramatic conflicts faced by the characters in the story.  These will help enrich the contents and layers of their script.  Incorporating their understanding of the characters and their creativity, students will collectively create new plots and the script for their finale performance.

Phase 2:
Rehearsal
(12 sessions)

April to June 2025

To rehearse and prepare for the finale performance, students will be trained on theatrical performance skills, including voicing, body language, emotion expression, etc.

Phase 3:
In-school Finale Performance
(1 session)

July 2025

The finale performance, which features students' adaptation of a classic fairy tale, will be staged on campus so that the learning outcome can be shared with their schoolmates, teachers and parents.
