About the Group

Rice Journey Production is named with 'rice' for an emphasis on education.  There are many similarities between the method of growing rice crops and educating a person.  With that in mind, the arts group adopts a unique educational approach, and carefully grows the seed of knowledge in everyone to empower them with the ability to feel the world in their own way.  The group aims at arts education with the art of dance as the medium and children as the focus, helping the little ones to create theatre works that combine dance and arts education, and embarking them on a unique journey in arts appreciation and participation.

About the Project

The Ant Vamilley takes children and you on a journey to the mysterious homes of ants around us.  The project unleashes architectural creativity through games, highlights the importance of collaboration through arts education, and inspires the audience to rethink the meaning of ‘home’.  It brings arts into the community through dance performances, interactive games and an exhibition, and encourages the audience to break the barriers and eradicate alienation in the community.  Participants will come to understand the importance of collaboration to any home, and work together to build a home of their own.
